This shows how popular this method was of getting to Barrows and how many people relied on it as their method of getting there. Mort'ton teleport scrolls have dropped from 18k each to 6k each in 23 days. Free otherwise and leaves you about thirty seconds from the Barrows. Allows one teleport every twenty minutes - which could maybe not be enough. Requires an annoying quest to complete that can be quite hard because of lack of players. Prior to this update players had a number of ways of getting to Barrows: I do not necessarily have a problem with being able to access Barrows easier - Its just I feel the tabs have completely trivialised so many other methods of getting to Barrows. I remember back in the day doing the Myreque quest line in order to be able to sneak through the cellar and bypass the majority of the swamp and it made the money so much more. I could talk for ages about the impact the Barrows teleport tab has had on prices but I think you get the point.īarrows has always been hard to get to - it's what has kept the money high for so long. Although only a nice return every 1/16 chests, items are also a key addition to the money making at barrows and the drop that these items have had because of the update is not negligible. This drop in death runes and blood runes has caused this to drop to less than 700k an hour and there is no sign of the drop stopping. Every other item has dropped a significant amount, the most noticeable being either the huge 1m drop on Guthan's armour set or the catastrophic drop in the price of death runes in just three weeks.īarrows moneymaking has always been a good way of earning money, even for the high levels and especially so if Morytania hard diaries have been done, as the runes themselves usually add up to over 1m/hour by a skilled player. The biggest issue with Barrows teleport tablets is that they have negatively impacted the price of almost every item or rune you get from Barrows. It has been just over three weeks (23 days) since Barrows teleport tablets were brought into this game and this post is going to attempt to showcase the problems that these tablets have caused and my personal opinions on what could be done to solve them.
